Marinella Italian Restaurant

My family and I had an amazing dinner here tonight! We just moved to town and we were looking for a nice restaurant with a patio. The service was fantastic. We got the specials and they were delicious. The chef brought our meals out to us and she checked in to make sure that we enjoyed everything. The family that runs this restaurant is so kind. They even brought out a special treat for my niece! We have already decided that we are coming back here for a family birthday dinner next month.

Marinella’s is a wonderful and authentic family-owned and operated Italian restaurant. Fabulous food, stellar drinks and wine, easy parking, one of Glen Ellyn’s best places to eat. We love this place, the food, and the people. Highly recommend! The very best fair weather patio in the western suburbs.

Marinella’s is a hidden gem in the west suburbs! Great service, wine selection and featured entrees. Having been to Italy, this place takes us back every time we dine here.

I took my folks here for dinner last night for an early Father's Day celebration since this is our favorite Italian restaurant. We have been loyal Marinella's fans for at least 30 years now and have followed them through 3 locations, and stuck with them since their change in ownership. Last night was just wonderful! They have a great patio area with ivy and fairy lights- and of course Italian themed music (Sinatra, Dean Martin, some Pavarotti). The baked clams are a MUST, I've had these many places but these are the best! The tortellini soup was also very good! I had the Pollo Picante which was excellent and came with a small side of pasta with red sauce! My folks both had pasta, Mom had calamari, Dad had shrimp. The food is excellent, flavorful, and the portions are large enough that I will have another full meal from the left overs. We split 2 pieces of tiramisu which was, naturally, delicious. Service was good, and the owner checked on us several times. If you live in the area you really should give this place a try for some amazing homemade Italian food!

Loved everything about this restaurant! Joanna and Sam provided wonderful service. The food was so delicious: Butternut squash ravioli with vodka sauce, chicken picante, veal parmesan, homemade cannelloni, all great! Pumpkin pie was a perfect exclamation point in a fabulous meal.

Outstanding food and service. The Tiramisu is not to heavy or wet and served at room temperature. It's made fresh daily.

Two of the hardest working people I know own this family run Business. You will not be disappointed. Great food great deck in the summer. And here’s the heads up. Only place in town that has a parking lot. If you go tell Benny Jeff sent you. Cannot be beat. Trust me

Marinellas is a place where you go, and you are treated as if they've known you for a lifetime. The staff are tremendously courteous, knowledgeable, and always there when you need something. The outdoor patio space is one of the best hidden gems in Glen Ellyn, as you have all the benefits of eating outdoors in beautiful downtown Glen Ellyn, without all the traffic, noise and commotion of main Street. On our last dining experience, we were floored by the salmon cake with its citrus glaze sauce. The panko breadcrumbs were crisp and firm yet perfectly light enough to not feel overwhelming bready. Cheese ravioli's are always a favorite, and the caprisi salad is filled with everything a caprisi should be. The balsamic is top notch too. Can't say enough good things about Marinellas, and after you spend a meal there, I don't think you'll be able to either.
